Freezer Friendly Stuffed Shells | Large Family Recipes
In my recent Big Family Freezer Meals cooking days I made 4 large pans of stuffed shells for my people. These big pans of stuffed shells freeze and later reheat wonderfully. Add a fresh salad, garlic bread, or a cup of fruit for a lovely dinner your family will ask for again and again!

- Reynolds Wrap Foil
- Saran Wrap
- Stainless Steel 22-Quart Covered Stockpot
- 8 Qt Instant Pot
- 8 Qt Slow Cooker
- Large Rubbermaid Container
- Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls
Freezer Friendly Stuffed Shells
FREEZER MEAL RECIPE INGREDIENTS
This large family recipe yields up to four 9×13 pans of fantastic Freezer Friendly Stuffed Shells!
- 3 Boxes of 1lb Jumbo Shells
- 3 lbs cooked Ground Beef (2 lbs for sauce, 1 lb for cheese mix)
- 100 oz Tomato Sauce
- 64 oz Ricotta Cheese
- 6 Eggs
- 8 Cups Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 12 oz Can Diced Tomatoes
FREEZER MEAL RECIPE DIRECTIONS
- Cook Jumbo Shells according to package directions
- Precook 3 lbs of ground beef, drain and set aside
- *For Cheese Sauce Filling* – In large mixing bowl mix 64 oz of Ricotta Cheese, 4 cups Mozzarella Cheese, 6 eggs, and 1 lb cooked ground beef
- *For Homemade Meat Sauce* In a large pot mix 100 oz of Tomato Sauce, 12 oz Diced Tomatoes, and 2 lb precooked ground beef.
- Stuff cooked jumbo noodles with cheese sauce mixture and layer on the bottom of 9×13 pan.
- Cover stuffed shells fully with homemade meat sauce.
- Top with one cup of shredded Mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat for a total of four 9×13 pans.
FREEZER MEAL STORAGE DIRECTIONS
- Allow your meals to cool completely before placing in the freezer.
- Wrap each 9×13 pan with two layers of foil.
- Label the top of each pan with recipe name and date.
- Wrap each 9×13 pan with a layer of plastic wrap.
- Set each pan to freeze in the freezer. Do not stack the pans on top of one another until each pan is individually frozen.
FREEZER COOKING DIRECTIONS
- Set the desired pans of Stuffed Shells out in the refrigerator the evening before you'd like to serve them.
- Preheat your oven to 400 (oven times may vary).
- Remove plastic wrap and one layer of foil.
- Place in preheated oven for 1 hour or until heated through and hot and bubbly.
- Feel free to add additional cheese on the day you serve this bake!
